    @momto5

Good question! I am curious to know that answer as well.

This is my last weekend to cram also and I am starting to get nervous. I have taken this exam 3 times (65/74/72) and I am so ready to be done and move on. I have been working on these exams for quite some time in between tax seasons, payroll deadlines, corporate/personal tax extensions, etc. My family has been understanding but are getting tired. I explained I am giving it until the end of this year to see where I am and then I will have to make a decision about where I will go from here. I have passed REG and BEC and lost REG. A lot of disappointments on this road I am traveling. It has been very difficult because I tend to lean on the side of perfectionism and have always gotten good grades. This is definitely different.

Friends/fellow Ninjas — please give suggestions on what you did the last week and weekend of studying. I have taken off of work for a few day and will only work three days next week. Yea! I plan on reviewing and taking progress tests. Hopefully I can see the areas I am weak in and review again. Any other suggestions??

It wouldn't hurt to take a look at the Becker sims. At the very least, they will provide an extra dimension in understanding certain concepts. Definitely practice on finding the research questions.

    BEC - 84
    AUD - 83
    FAR - 82
    REG - 81

    I'm DONE! CERTIFIED PARTY ANIMAL!

I took AUD yesterday and found 3-4 of the SIMS to be comparable to Becker…the others were completely out of left field. If you know how to use AL then you will have a much easier time getting through the tough ones.

    FAR - (8/2012) 87
    BEC - (11/2012) 86
    REG - 73 (retake July 2013)
    AUD - 71 (retake April 2013)

@stokey45 – I did the same and got a 90. Have you taken a practice exam yet? Planning to do either one or both tomorrow. (I wanted to do one today, but ran out of time). When is your exam? Sure hope you kill it this time!

    FAR - 92 (4/27/12)
    AUD - 96 (7/17/12)
    BEC - 92 (8/30/12)
    REG - 91 (11/12/12)

    @momto5

I have not take the practice exam this time. I have studied in the past and taken it but I have yet to do it. My exam is scheduled for 7/21 so I have about a week left.

I hope to kill the exam this time!

    Thanks

Took my first practice exam in Becker – averaged a 84% in MCQ and a 75% in SIMS. Some of the individual SIMS I did average, some I bombed, and a couple I aced, which brought my score up a bit. Not quite sure how I feel about this as I was really hoping I knew this stuff a little better. Also, I hear the second exam is more difficult. Plan to do that one in a few hours after I review a little more stuff (and take a break to recharge a bit). Haven't decided whether to take a day off work tomorrow for a final study time, or just to use tomorrow evening and Tuesday morning before the exam (I take it in the afternoon but have to drive 2 1/2 hours to get to the testing center). Guess I'll see how I feel after I take this next practice exam.

    FAR - 92 (4/27/12)
    AUD - 96 (7/17/12)
    BEC - 92 (8/30/12)
    REG - 91 (11/12/12)

Hey guys I'll be starting to study for Audit tomorrow. Do you expect that one month will be enough for audit? I don't work and study about 5 hours everyday so I'll probably reach 130 hours total. Thoughts?

    FAR 4/9/12- PASSED
    BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
    AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!
    REG-12/6/12 PASSED

MG- you should be fine. I did something similar with audit except I was also doing grad school and I still did fine on the test. The trick is MC. I know that everyone always says that but I saw so many questions that were nearly word for word from review. Also, what review are you using? I always wonder how people count the amount of hours that they've been studying for a certain test unless your review counts it for you. I've been studying for FAR since May and I don't have the slightest idea how much time I've put in since then. Thanks!

2nd AUD Becker practice test – 79% avg. in MCQ and 87% avg. in SIMS. Made a couple stupid errors by misreading a word or not thinking straight (I've been studying too many hours today). I am hoping I will be OK to just review a bit tomorrow after work and Tuesday morning before the exam. Not really looking forward to this – just anxious to get it behind me!

I also have no idea how much time I put in studying – I don't really keep track. Guess I figure I have to study as much as possible right up until the exam. Hoping I have enough time to fit BEC in before the end of August.

    FAR - 92 (4/27/12)
    AUD - 96 (7/17/12)
    BEC - 92 (8/30/12)
    REG - 91 (11/12/12)

I have a daily planner that I write the hours I studied in each day, I have a required amount of study time of 5 hours a day but that doesn't always happen.

    FAR 4/9/12- PASSED
    BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
    AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!
    REG-12/6/12 PASSED

I take AUD in 1 week and I have a question regarding sims that include journal entries. I've noticed that my study materials (Gleim) generally gives me 5 lines to make adjusting jorunal entries regardless of how many are actually required. My question is this – on the actual exam, what do I do if I don't use all the lines? Do I leave them blank, or do I choose the “no entry required” for the lines not needed? Maybe I'm overthinking this, but I just want to be sure that I don't leave a line blank and lose points because I didn't fill out a line.

How many of you used the cpaforfree website to have access to additional MCQs? I signed on tonight and took a few little quizzes and some of the questions were very different from what I have reviewed in Becker.

If you have used this website, how did you find the questions? Harder or comparable? I am interested to know because I am scoring better with Becker Review than I am with cpaforfree.

I am interested to know what someone else has found.

    Thanks

I remember using it for FAR and felt the same way. Didn't have a chance to try it out for AUD, but practically everything I saw on the AUD exam today was pretty much like it came right out of Becker, so I wouldn't worry about it much. Just do more & more Becker MCQ's.

    FAR - 92 (4/27/12)
    AUD - 96 (7/17/12)
    BEC - 92 (8/30/12)
    REG - 91 (11/12/12)
