    Hi All,

Using Becker and about to be 2 weeks from test date. Any suggestions on what to focus on, how you review, or any other tips in general for reviewing the final two weeks? I am sure this was a topic somewhere else but I just wanted to touch base and see what everyone’s thoughts were on two week review processes before exams.

    Thanks!

Regarding SIMs, I've only taken 2 exams so far (FAR & AUD both after 2 Q 2017 after the change with heavier allocation to SIMs was implemented), and can only really say that practicing SIMs is a good way to tie the material together because it forces you to extract the information without having options to guess (for the most part). I like Gleim's test bank for SIMs and did most of them a few days leading into my exam for that purpose, but honestly, none of the SIMs were like Gleim's, other than in difficulty, but the way they lay them out and topics they cover can be from any area of the material. Practicing research SIMs will probably help (I was hyped when I saw they actually let you use “Search” in the AL – many times it will get you straight to the topic), good luck!

Regarding sims, I just do a couple sim testlets on each section in Gleim during my initial pass-through of the material. I do find them very beneficial so you get used to answering those types of questions. Personally, I don't think they're an efficient use of time during the final review, though.

Thanks for the tips! I've taken audit twice now…going for my 3rd on Saturday. I guess I'll be sticking to non-stop MCQ with a sprinkle of SIMS here and there until then.

    BEC - 79
    FAR - 79
    REG - 83

My audit exam is on the 26th. Last time i studied for AUD in 4 weeks and i made a 68. My plan is to rewrite all my study notes, work ALL of the mcq's and do several TBS for each section, identify my weak areas and then focus on those and re-read/watch lectures as necessary. Wednesday and Thursday before the exam I'll write some final review notes from weak areas and continue to do MCQ and sims on my weak areas. Auditing is sneaky for me, i work in tax and so much of auditing seems like common sense until i get into the questions. Hoping to pick up the 7 points i need and be done with it and on to my last one.
