    sucks…

Failing AUD and possibly (and most likely) FAR the same day….sucks more…

thinking about losing the one section you did pass (BEC) and starting over from scratch…unbearable…

Doing this while youre working in the office during busy season and other co workers are passing with happiness…. ill save the words for that..

How many hours did you spend on restudy for the 3rd time?

Thats what I wonder… With AUD candidates thought they got 90s on practise exam, but since there are alot of theory, candidates tend to remember the answers instead of understading it.

I would suggest you to restudy everything like first time, but heavy on the weak areas shown in your score report + Sims. Doing Sims helps you understand theory too…

Good luck for you with your Journey.. finger crossed FAR for you…..!!!

    Hi David,

I am studying AUD for the 3rd time – I feel like I tend to memorize the answer and move on fast thinking I already know this.. last time i took this exam, independence part DESTROYED me. It seemed easy while studying, during the test, they really twist wording and throw 3-4 categories at once. As CPA88888 said, I should really study this like I'm studying for the first time and focus on weak areas, theory behind answers, and SIMs!

    Good luck mate.

@David, I failed audit 4 times. I feel your pain. Failing it the third time caused me to lose my FAR. It does totally suck. Just keep at it.

This will be my 5th time taking audit in may once I can re-register and get my NTS. I've passed everything else and this is all that is standing in my way. I definitely want to pass in the next section as the clarity project hits the exam and will cause things to change. At this time I'm no CPA but I definitely am a CTA (certified tax accountant) with a MT. Audit has been the bane of my existence but this next time it must change. Not to mention I'm getting married in the end of June. Don't want to spend my first summer with my wife to be studying my butt away. We can do it!!

    B - 84
    A - 62, 74, 69, 67, 90!!!!!!!!!!
    R - 88
    F - 66, 76

@DavidB1990 – i understand your pain. I have felt if before. Just study one paper at a time. Prepare Feb & Mar and write exams in Apr & May you will definitely be through. just study thoroughly. AUD really tests ur understanding. Understand the MCQ's and then you should be fine. I used to think AUD is the most easiest paper of the lot but i really got badly stuck in AUD.

All the best for your exams

    BEC: 77(Nov 2010), 81(Jul 2012).
    FAR: 80(Jul 2012).
    REG: 72(Jul 2012), 78(Oct 2012).
    AUD: 71(Nov 2010),74(Jul 2012),74(Oct 2012),75(Jan 2013)- Thanks God, without you i couldnt have done this. I'M DONE !!!

I have already failed 3 times in AUD – 71(Nov 2010), 74( Jul 12), 74(Oct 12). Waiting for my Jan score in second wave. Hope i pass this time. This 74 is haunting me now and now i feel even though i may have done well, 74 is still a possibility. The problem is i cant say how i have done. I always have to wait for the results. Last 2 attempts i though i would pass AUD but it didnt happen. This time im scared but i hope to pass. I dont know how i have done 3 simulations where i am a bit doubtful but apart from that MCQ's and other sims are ok. Just want 75 and i would be happy !
