second attempt at AUD after scoring a 69 on my first try…I finished all the MCQs within a reasonable time because I had about 2.25hrs left for the SIMS. Overall i felt good after finishing my exam (better feeling than the 1st time lol)

As far as the SIMs go, I want to say I got a little lucky because I had 2 research questions and the other simulations covered material that I had a strong a knowledge on, i just hope that i did not get the answers confused.

Now i just have to wait until May 24th !! for the score release, OH and did i mention that my REG credit expires on 4/30. (AUD is the only section i have left) –ANXIOUS !!

    Hey mvol5,

My strategy for AUD (and all sections using Wiley Course and Test Bank only):

Read the Wiley book, watch the videos, & take notes for one section of the book at a time. Complete all practice & study questions for that section. Write down incorrect answers and move on to the next section. MOVE ON. Do not keep studying that section, even if you bombed half the questions. You just need to get a feel for the topics covered. Don't get bogged down with detail.

After completing this process for the entire book, I answered all the questions in the test bank If I got a question wrong I moved past it and kept going. I let the answer be wrong so to get a good assessment of my abilities and maintain a history of my weak areas.

After completing the test bank, I started working through the questions I got wrong. I use the book or Google to look up the answers. Google helps a lot because others may word things in a way that better suits your way of thinking. And don't worry about getting every question correct after you work the incorrect questions.

After completing this process for incorrect test bank questions, I did all the questions on the WIley CPA phone app. I went through these questions twice.

I did spend a week reviewing the SIMS but it was not the main focus of my studies. I answered thousands of questions in a three month period. I performed all the Wiley practice SIMS but I didn't worry about getting them right. I focused on trying to get a solid understanding of the reference materials used to answer the SIMS.

    Good luck to you!

Hopefully my strategy will work for FAR because I am staring that section on Monday. 🙂

    AUD - 84
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 80
    -J

    BEC - PASSED
    REG - PASSED
    AUD - PASSED
    FAR - Not scheduled yet
