Hey guys, took audit on the 23rd of this month, I thought I did poorly on the sims due to time running out!! the last exam that i took, Reg, i had a lot of time left so i did not really care to time myself in the audit exam. I thought I did good w the MCQ but had a few audits sims that was lengthy in the sense that they had many docs to read n that kind of overwhelmed me. I guess I am asking, how do you guys prepare for sims? i feel like just doing is not enough for sims n doing sims is also not enough cus they sims they threw at me was new to me, so harder in that sense! I get my score in on the Nov 10th, but I am going to study now for the audit so if i do fail, i can retake on the 14th since 15th is the last date of this window, does anyone know if thats enough time to get a new NTS n schedule the exam? Thank you

Preparing for simulations can definitely be tricky, since you never know what you will get come exam day. They could be very simple, or a nightmare! I found the best way for me to prepare for simulations was to practice the ones in my review course, and thoroughly go over the ones on the AICPA sample test, and try and work through how to get back to those answers. The more you practice and get used to how things are formatted, presented, asked, and such the better off you will be. Most importantly, be sure to read through the explanations and rationales for the simulations in your review course, and take notes!

I can't say for certain if it is enough time, but it could take a couple of days to get a new NTS, and pending on availability of the testing center, you could very well retake it that quick. I recall failing AUD in August, and being able to retake it 7 days later. Worth a try. Good luck! Hoping you passed audit, and don't have to retake it.
