I took my exam 5/11 in the afternoon.

Before the test even started there was problems at the Prometric site I was at – for some reason there weren’t enough seats available so I had to wait an hour just to get to my test.

Anyways, the test. MC was…OK. Mostly doable. I flagged about 6 questions in the first testlet (my strategy of flagging is time to make an educated guess or there are 2 really good answers which I can’t choose between) and 7 in the second testlet. There were a few WTH questions, so I’m hoping they were pretest.

Then came the SIMS. Oh gosh, I will hate the SIMS until the day I die. Reading through other posts before, I was expecting it to be out of the ordinary, and oh boy, it was. AJE’S and so many documents to shift through, and so much reading! I honestly only felt confident about 3 of the 8 sims total (and one of them was the research question which I found in 5 minutes). The other 5 I’m sure I at most only got 1/2 to 3/5 right. I won’t be surprised if I got only 20-30% right on a couple of the sims. I’m praying that my MC can help carry me, because I have a bad feeling that the sims is going to be weaker.

Anyways I’m glumly sitting in front of my computer, getting ready to study for my FAR retake. I’m starting to feel sort of hopeless as I realize this is going to be a very long journey. All I need is to pass one exam! Then I can work from there.

Don't be disheartened. There are plenty of us in the same boat as you. I took AUD in Feb. of this year because I wanted it to be the 1st one I studied for, and yep, decent MCQS, but terrible SIMs. I walked out of there so frazzled. I missed the pass by 3 points. Since I always did hate AUD due to its subjectivity, I plan to take it last now. Just took REG, and would rather take FAR next.
Anyhow, here's hoping for the best for your AUD scores!

    AUD - 77
    BEC - 79
    FAR - 75
    REG - 80
    Won't know until you try.

I took AUD last month and we won't get our results until June 27th. Thanks AICPA! They did add an additional score release date to September and December (I think).

I felt the same way about the MCQ. I was doing fine until I felt like I missed about 4 in a row so I slowed down my pace. I had additional time remaining so I made sure to use the AL for other problems. 🙂 My SIMS were more subjective and less AJEs or lots of documents. I still don't think I did well on the SIM, but I hope I was stronger on the MCQ because for FAR I wasn't. This journey is a marathon and I have to remind myself because I could be playing Fallout 4 again and/or Witcher 3. 🙁

    AUD - 81
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 76
    REG - 80
    AUD - 81
    BEC - 70, 77
    FAR - 70, 70, 76
    REG - 70, 80
(I used WileyCPA and Ninja-FAR only)

It took almost two years, but I am now finished with my CPA exams.
