    Howdy Ninjas,

    I finished 4 sections of CPA exam. I kind of want to put a hold on getting certified because I am not sure if accounting is my field. I have been in corporate accounting for 5 years and I have been tired of the corporate politics and same month end process every month. I’ve always wanted to be an auditor but from my personal experience, public accounting firms are intended to hire junior auditors from college graduates. I don’t really have audit work experience so I feel even though I have a CPA, it is not easy to land an audit job in a public accounting firm. I will keep applying jobs in public auditing firms. At this moment, I kind of want to explore on fiance side. So I am casually studying CFA level I. Just want to see the poll, what do you guys do after CPA journey?

    good day,

    After the CPA journey, I plan to never ever entertain the idea of getting another certification…But then again, I am turning 40, so this is kind of it for me:) LOL

    @Anyatver

    I'm with you. I don't understand people that finish the CPA exam and are determined to get the next hardest certification. The CPA exam is enough punishment. I waited three years until I decided to pursue another certification and five years to apply for graduate school.

    We want to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this liberal gift. For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man.

    To the OP-the certifications are most valuable when combined with work experience, otherwise they are worth nearly nothing, so before you pursue the next one, i would really think about what you want to do for work going forward.

    CFA ain't no joke unless you never want to see your friends or family ever again in the next 2-3+ years.
