After failing 3 times, I’ve come to realize that getting a CPA license isn’t really for me or maybe at least not yet. Hence, I am taking a different path. Since, I still have access to Wiley test bank I’d like to supplement it for the EA review. Question is, how much study time (approx) allotted for each part and would this be enough material to prepare for the test? Thank you.

This depends on your knowledge going in, and your ability to study. It is generally considered easier than the CPA, but the EA should not be underestimated. The questions and material is a lot more in depth than the REG material. Good luck

There are plenty of people on here who have failed more than three times.

Heck, there's one guy (or gal) who failed each one like five or six times- and ultimately passed.

I'd say sack up and take the CPA exam again.

You don't truly fail until you quit.

I'm with “billbrasskey.” I've failed FAR three times in a row, once with the dreaded 74! Only motivates me more to knock this stupid test out. I have gotten what I put in. If you put in the time you will pass.

The opposite of success isn't failure, it's quitting.

If you can't persevere to finish things you started, that will define you and just like you failed the CPA exam and quit, you will quit the EA once hurtles come along. It is not that it's not for you but you don't have it in you to go through it, there are no shortcuts to success.

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

There is nothing wrong with using the EA, or CIA or CMA as a stepping stone, or as an end-goal in itself.

It is better to study and have something to show for it. This wisdom is smarter than any CPA licensure.

To study, fail repeatedly and have nothing to show for it is foolish.

    This is basic ROI analysis.
