Is anyone familiar with the Certified Manager credential?

Never heard of it. The most important factor when it comes to credentials is how well that particular credential is known by hiring managers in your industry. If you search for jobs on indeed or LinkedIn and see very few that require or desire a “CM”, you probably shouldn't waste your time.

I have, however, heard of PMP. Have you looked into that one?
