Has anyone recently sat for the CFF? Taking it in Dec looking for any insight. The AICPA does not provide much test prep material.

    AUD - 71 , 74 , 74, 74, 82
    BEC - 74 , 74, 76
    FAR - 80
    REG - 78

I plan on taking it and the ABV for during the first 2015 testing window. I have all the other requirements (work experience & CPE), but don't think I'll have my CPA in time to sit for this winter's window.

You're correct- there are no specific prepared test materials, just a listing of materials to study that were prepared by other sources. If you're going to take the ABV (a nice compliment to CFF), there is a book for that.

I see you posted in another forum. Review the materials in the CSO and you should be fine. From what I've heard, it isn't nearly as hard as the CPA exam. My boss (a CPA/CFF) told me they used to give these certs away back in the good ole days. When asked for advice, his response was “Test? What test?”

    Must've been nice.

    TGibb-

No problem. I should add that a few of the big materials can be found on Amazon at a big discount and a great many of them are free (some of the freebies are only free after AICPA FVS membership). The remaining free materials can be downloaded from the Federal govt (e.g. Federal Rules of Evidence, relevant Bankruptcy codes, etc.). I know it's trite, but Google them. No BS.

The tough ones to get will be the Thomson Reuters PPC stuff. To be honest, I'm not even certain they would be needed to pass. The PPC stuff appears to be supporting and/or peripheral material. Personally, I plan on taking a shot at the exam without studying the PPC materials.
