    Has anyone else been unable to obtain the CPA based on a lack of experience as well? If so, any advice for gaining said experience?

    I’ve passed the CPA/CFE exam a while back, but I haven’t been able to fulfill the experience requirements for my state (for either license). I have about 6 years working at a small company, but i’m unable to gain experience under a CPA, which I need for the license (need several years). I’ve been trying to break into CPA firms, but they either want people, who have interned for them or experienced professionals; they don’t seem to hire entry level (outside of campus recruiting of course). They almost seem to view my private accounting experience with disdain because I haven’t gotten promoted, due to the size of the company. Larger companies don’t seem to want to hire without larger company experience/public accounting experience in addition to the above reasons. I just can’t seem to get experience working under a CPA, despite all my networking.

    B=84 This exam was such a b**** that I thought I failed-don't know how these things work
    A=76 Slacker I am, I'll happily take it
    R=81 I LOVE taxes
    F=80 I don't wanna get banned for an expletive I'm thinking with "yea" proceeding it

    NASBA is a offering a new service where they will pair you with a CPA to sign off on your experience if your experience meets the requirements. I don't know much about it. I do know that it is only available in certain jurisdictions, so you may have to transfer scores. I have posted the link to the information below.

    NASBA Experience Verification
