I currently live in WA and planning to move to NY in July 2013. I’m starting my job hut in NY area and was wondering if it’s wise/good move to e-mail local firms in the area about job opportunities?

If it is, how should I word it? Should I send my resume along with it?

    Please help!!!

just an fyi i emailed the managing partner and head of an entire office at a Big 4 firm in a large city last night. i did have a referrence name to use of a very wealthy local businessman but still fairly blind.

the beatuy of emails are that 1) they really are the way people like to get contacted 2) it really takes no courage at all except for hitting send

@CPA628, I imagine theres a way to send a direct message to me on here. Contact me that way and we can discuss further. Or you can shoot me an email at bmsheppard@loyola.edu
