After interviewing for an accounting position, do you send a handwritten thank you note or an email or both? I usually send handwritten thank you notes, but it takes so long to get there and they said they’d be making a decision by the end of the week. Thoughts?

According to a recruiter, the mailed thank you notes are now out of date, so I sent emails and still got the job (as did my PWc buddy and many other friends). There are companies that I spent a “fortune” sending really nice notes to but they didn't even have the courtesy of rejecting me until I asked if I was still in consideration (a month later).

Others will give you an offer during the interview. Email is enough.
