This is my first busy season as an audit associate. Scheduled to work between 50-60 hours a week(including Saturdays). Can’t wait. What does everyone else’s busy season look like??

I”m having to work satudays through January and will be on ‘as needed' basis after that. This is my first busy season. It's not horrible so far, but we'll see how it goes. At least the days go by faster.

Just finished my first week of busy season hours. YE testing starts tomorrow.

I too had about 200+ review comments dropped on my 9/30 testing (still not done), and I almost broke down.

I don't mind the hours as long as I can run daily and understand what I'm doing.

This spring will be my 13th busy season, with only 3 of those being at big 4. I am not going to say the Big 4 busy seasons are worse than a small firm because that is not the case. The problem is, they are longer and you never really are slow during the year. So its like a jog all year, then twice a year during busy season you are in a dead sprint, totally out of breath. I just want to walk for a bit.Take a breather. …..I can't even get in 6 hours a week at the gym. If I had to start over I probably would not be in accounting. there is more to life than workpapers, returns and constant review points.
