    Hi friends,
I am in search of job / training in accounting firm to start my career back . I have 5 exp in banking/ 1year in tax from foreign country however I took 3 years career break for family. Now I want to come back on professional front and also only my FAR ( this time stuck at 72 ) is remaining to clear, which I can manage to clear in Q3 window. Now my question is
    1) How to grab a job in accounting firm ( no specific requirements of pay ) it seems that they don’t entertain any career break job seekers, I am ready to work as fresher because I had never worked in USA
    2) How many days is required to get ourselves quick book certified , but that the must certification and what are the other certifications required

Can you share your stories how you all went through this job searching period

    Thanks in advance

which state are you in? Easier is to start as a tax return preparer. In CA, we need to be CTEC certified to prepare individual income tax return if not a CPA. I suggest you look up what your state requirement is. Getting a certificate first can prepare you start working in a CPA firm to prepare tax return. Otherwise, it is difficult if you do not have any experience or connection. Networking is the key! Busy season is coming up soon, from end of Aug to Oct. Best of luck to you!

Given your background, it sounds like English might be a second language. You might have a native English speaker look over your resume to make sure that it looks/sounds normal. With your experience, it sounds like you are going to be a great candidate for a lucky firm. Good luck, and let me know if you have any further questions.
