    I accepted an offer with Deloitte in the ges department. Is this a good department?

    I would not want to do it. Extremely hard to transfer the skills to other areas.

    My advice: Be a solid performer and transfer to BTS or another service line.

    Do you have any experience with the GES department? Do you mind sharing?

    Definitely go BTS if you can. I was in MTS (MultiState) before switching to high net worth individual. Having Federal Tax experience at the corporation level is golden imo.

    I was in GES as an intern. At the end of my internship I asked to switch to BTS and was granted permission. I worked in BTS for 2 years before recently jumping to industry. GES is too niche and to be fair everyone makes fun of them in the office.
