What do you wear to work? I like wearing suit to work but the dress code for our firm is business casual and no one wears a suit unless you are going to meet a client. So.. What about you guys?

My office that I'm going to work at is smart business casual, so people are allowed to wear jeans in the office (Big 4 NYC). I can't really wrap my head around it yet. I'm just going to stick to business casual then go from there & see what partners/ managers wear. Those are the people you want to have a positive opinion about you.

My firm, (Big 4 in the south), allows us to wear anything we want as long as we wear a transparent green visor.

I'm the Controller at a small college. Some of the faculty wear suits on a daily basis, but I think the only non-teaching staff who wear suits regularly are the President and the Dean. Official dress code is business casual and there's a definite emphasis on the “casual” piece of that! I wear slacks every day with a variety of tops. Outgrew my button-down tops, so was wearing a variety of stretchy-material tops that could accomodate the extra pounds, but now that I can fit back into my button-down's, I'm going to try to dress a little more “business” and a bit less “casual”. However, in our office environment, a solid-color V-neck tee with slacks would be acceptable.

I wear blacks slacks so people can't see, only smell, when I've pooped my pants due to anxiety at work. If I could, I would go to work in gym clothes. I hate wearing business casual; it makes me feel like I'm in a straight jacket!!!
