ESPECIALLY for the sims. doing those 8 sims are worth more than doing 1000 sims on wiley or Ninja(sorry ninja). I had an identical sim today on my actual exam from the AICPA practice site. the type of thinking and back and forth needed for the sims can only be found on that website. its a great, free resource most of us over look.

@turo9992000 its an amazing resource to use. The sims are formatted and asked just like what you're gonna find on the actual exam

Are you referring to the Tutorial/ Sample test? Can you provide a direct link to what you're talking about?

Yup, had the same thing happen to me on AUD exam. I always do these practice tests!

Do both 2017 and 2018 versions, as 2018 has extra SIMs.

Yeah, definitely do sample tests before sitting for exams. Link is here

I didn't do it before I sat for FAR.

I did it quite a bit before I sat for AUD, and YUPP, OP is right.

Google AICPA sample test…you'll find it. I personally found it to be closest for FAR and REG. MY AUD SIMs were harder on the actual test and the BEC SIMs were easier than the samples. So all in all an essential tool that until this very moment I assumed EVERYONE used.

I always did them a few days before my test date. It helped calm my nerves and realize that I could handle the exam. Definitely recommend them.

    AUD - 56 - 68 - 61 - 9/8/16
    REG - 75
    FAR - 7/15/16
    BEC - TBD

yeah I almost screamed when I saw a question that was pretty much identical to the one I saw om the practice exam. I didn't use it for FAR, I went to the site after I took FAR and realized the sims were so similar to the practice sims. Honestly if you can handle the practice sims, you should be able to handle the actual exam sims.

IDK if it too much work, But a video walk-through of the 8 sims per section from Jeff would be a must have tool for my studying. I'd pay $100 for something like that!

    @Jennifer

This is off topic for this thread but how long did you have to wait for your BEC score in Illinois after the official release date?

@ANOTHER72 Interesting! I never took the AICPA practice tests too seriously; mainly used them to see fresh questions, since I was getting to the point of memorizing answers in the questions of my primary study program, and wasn't thinking critically. I thought AICPA was helpful, but that's awesome that a similar (or exact) question appeared on the real exam that had been on the practice!

@PJ – I was never on the bubble, so I received my scores on the scheduled release dates. 🙂

    AUD - 56 - 68 - 61 - 9/8/16
    REG - 75
    FAR - 7/15/16
    BEC - TBD

It's a small sample size but I did the practice MCQ and SIMs for Reg and that section ended up being my highest out of the 4. Not gonna say doing the AICPA practice will guarantee you'll pass but it's definitely a great resource.

Is anyone else having trouble accessing the new 2018 practice exam? I'm not actually sitting after Q1, but I still wanted to use it for practice.
