Did anyone fail audit in Q3 that felt VERY comfortable with the material? Just curious…

I didn't fail AUD, but I came VERY close to failing.

I only studied for 80 hours for AUD, but I felt VERY comfortable with the exam questions. In fact, I finished with an hour to spare.

When I got my score, I was glad I passed but shocked at the score. I was expecting a score in the upper 80s with how confident I felt. Turns out, I got a 76.

I scored higher on my Hail Mary attempts of BEC and REG, so I have no idea how these exams are graded. Perhaps, exam candidates who got similar testlets scored better than I did.

I got a 67 but honestly felt like I did well…well at least felt like I passed.

@turbo your scores are very high too which is very weird. It is my only part left and I am not sure what I did wrong..it seems like there has to be some type of question or sim that is weighted more heavily..

@CPAbound I am in the same boat…trying to figure this out lol

Yeah…thought I at least got 75 but fell short and got a 74. I felt really good on multiple choice which I ended up being right since my performance report showed I tested stronger in all but one category (the evidence and audit procedures one). I just hate how you can do so well on m.c. but that's still not enough. I don't even know how to restudy at this point because I don't know how to study for SIMS. I paid good attention to the sims in Becker but wasn't enough I guess.

@taeclieWell Sims are 50% of the exam. Why should they pass anyone who can only perform well on only one half the exam and completely bombed the other half? Not to mention, AICPA wants newly minted CPA's to apply what they learned or use judgement, not just memorize and bullshit their way though.

I took it in Q2….felt like I crushed the prep…scored high on all my prep MCQ sets, did around 30-40 sims and scored well….and ended up with a 73. Sometimes you just get a bad set of questions.

I know its a cliche but it is crazy how often you see people that think they bombed and passed and vice versa.

    AUD - 92
    BEC - 79
    REG - August
    FAR - TBD

I definitely felt very comfortable with the material and scored a 68. The multiple choice questions I got were fair and I did well on them, but I got sims from hell. These tests are really luck of the draw on the questions you get.

    @OP

I got a 71 in Q3 and felt like I knew a lot of the material. I even felt confident during the exam. Now I'm hitting Ninja MCQ hard and trending/averaging in the upper 70s. Not sure what else there is to do except for keep on chugging.

The one positive that can be taken away from retaking exams multiple times is that you learn more every time you go over this material which, in my mind, will make you a better CPA. My twisted theory/logic is that the people who fail each section three or more times and eventually pass are going to be the best CPAs because they are the most driven, customer-oriented candidates. At least that's what I tell myself.

    Keep studying and good luck!

    REG - 79
    FAR - ?
    AUD - ?
    BEC - ?

I thought I had passed AUD (I took it Sept. 9), but got a 72. I didn't think my SIMs were too awful and the MCQ wasn't terrible either. AUD is sneaky, I felt like I passed it on my other attempts too, but I will be going for round 4 in October. We will get it!!

Pretty much the same boat as the rest of you. AUD was the only one I felt actually confident leaving, and yet was my lowest score out of all of my exams. Its a nasty villain, much like The Joker, but justice prevails!

Maybe I missed it, but has any data been released relating to the Q2 release? I'm curious how the pass/fail rates were for the sections as I know there was a lot of speculation..

I took audit Q3 and left feeling like I crushed the exam, for sure 90s worthy. I thought I couldn't do better if I picked my own test questions! I've never left a test feeling good about it so I never doubted for a second that I had passed. At score release I see a 71 on the screen. This was the third attempt, so processing having to take that one again has been a bit difficult this week.

Feel very similar to everyone here and this will be my third time taking it….its scary because of the other 3 exams that I have passed, i felt the most comfortable with audit. IT says that I was weaker in performing procedures and obtaining evidence and forming conclusions and reporting. Can anyone tell me what to focus on or what becker chapters this pertains to?
