I got an email from NASBA’s International Evaluation Services (NIES) stating that my International education evaluation is complete. The evaluation report has been sent to the accounting board. And my next step is to register and take the Uniform CPA Examination. Don’t they need me to send them the other 22 credit for the 150 credit requirement? or can I just apply for the test and then when I pass the four parts I will just send them the transcript with the remaining credit? would it be faster to just apply to get the NTS before sending my remaing credit?

Double check with the state but usually you can take the exams and send in the rest of the requirements with your license application.

It completely depends on which state. Some let candidates test before they complete all the educational requirements for licensing. Others are more strict. For example, in Texas you need 150 semester hours before they will approve your AOI and eligibility to test.

That 150 hours for Texas includes 30 hours of accounting, 24 hours of business, an “approved” 3 hour ethics class, and some other quirky crap like the accounting research and writing requirement. The bright side is BEC writing was a slam dunk after the latter class. But if they reject one of your out of state accounting classes, that can cause a full semester delay before you can start testing. Maybe longer if they let you know about the deficiency after the semester starts.
