Hi All,

Just a quick question here. I am coming up on my last CPA exam. Assuming I pass this and finally finish the exams, I am curious if my work experience is sufficient. I have the 150 hours so I’m good there. I am currently working at a Big 4 in NYC but my job role is in Finance. After doing research online it appears that role should be sufficient but I would like to see what people’s answers are in this forum. Do I need to be an Auditor or Tax Accountant to full-fill the work experience or will working in Finance complete the requirements and allow me to be a CPA?

Easiest way is just call the state board.

Not sure about NY requirements but in PA you would be fine as long as you have a CPA willing to sign-off on your work experience.
