Just took my first exam (FAR) today.

During a DRS, I clicked on one of the papers and it was loading, loading, loading, and then just froze on me and then the whole exam crashed + shut down. I panicked so hard thinking my exam was over or void. Wasted like 5+ precious minutes waiting for help and switching computers.

And sometimes the scroll button on mouse would work on certain SIM documents but not on others. Really annoying especially when trying to use split screen.

And whats with the super tiny screens? the split screen is basically useless at that point. And the test didnt even take up the entire screen. there were huge blank spaces on either side I would have loved to use..

i knew it wasnt going to be smooth and intuitive but it was much worse than I expected

Probably because the AICPA hasn't updated its software since they first started testing on the computers. Poorly optimize and clunky like it's from a decade ago.

I agree that the software is pretty bad. My last exam froze for about 10 seconds and I almost panicked. Thankfully nothing too bad has happened yet though.

In April 2018, AICPA is rolling out enhanced computer mods. I know it blows for now but change is coming.
