Being as the only parts that I had to take twice, the bigger picture advice I can give is: Quality over quantity.
For my 1st FAR take, journal entries was my weakness. I made sure that I fully understood what a debit/credit was before I even started the first chapter. It would definitely help to fully conquer Gov't and NFP. You must know them in and out. I can even remember how much it was littered throughout my exam, twice. Also, don't forget the basics, like depreciation, PP&E, impairment, the such.
For REG, it is very difficult to remember so many rules and whatnot. I had to take REG twice since I freeballed the first attempt (didn't want it to go to waste and wanted to have a taste of it). I actually rewrote my notes, at least twice for each tax entity/individual in order to memorize it. And I still BARELY passed.
Now, what may work for me, may not work for you. I did lectures and copied notes thoroughly. Try and understand this chapter before you move on. I always did questions after every chapter (DON'T focus on the score for now). As the chapters kept growing, I kept adding more questions cumulatively to the bunch. When I start noticing a trend in where my weaknesses are, I would go back to that particular chapter and review/reread/restudy and see where I went wrong the first time.
When you officially finish ALL the chapters and you've refined most of the weak points, now is the time do all cumulative. Back then when SIMs were only 40%, I saved them near the end. But now I suggest doing SIMs every day, though the theory goes, if you understand the concepts very well, SIMs shouldn't come as a surprise. Also, when you do MCQs, when you get it wrong, WRITE that SHIT down. You getting it wrong once is okay, getting it wrong twice is not acceptable. When you go through each MCQs, get to the level where you can justify the other three as wrong with explanation. If you take an hour for 10 MCQs, who cares? As long as you completely understand that concept and all the information within those 10 mcqs, you should be good for that area.
You can do a 1000 mcqs and memorize them all. The point is to understand WHY this answer is the best choice. Also, if you have money, which it seems like you do (accomplished in your field and all), consider getting the gleim test bank for REG and FAR. I only suggest that since if you've taken this 3 times, and only used NINJA, you're probably already remembering the answers and tricks in each question. It'd be worth it to buy another test bank.
