I am ready to begin prepping myself for this journey. For those who have been at this and have successfully completed a test or 2, any advice on the best way to tackle this task? What did you do that worked best for you? What did you do that you wish you hadn’t? Looking for any type of feedback you have to offer.

Obsess over it and just study as much as you possibly can. Be honest with yourself in how much time you need for each exam and plan and prep accordingly (this might take a little while to figure out). My biggest advice is if you are uncertain on any particular area of an exam, force yourself to take the time to learn it and understand it while refreshing and maintaining the areas you are strong in. I failed a couple exams because I'd get to my review stage, feeling like I had a good feel for most topics but had a couple weak areas. Rather than biting the bullet and strengthening my weak areas, I would continue to reinforce what I already knew and it costed me a couple close calls.

I assume you have a plan and a timeline for passing the exams. If things don't go exactly as planned, its OK. My journey did not go as I initially planned, as I think we all try to plan to pass on the first try. Stay calm and confident and if you put the time in, you will achieve your goals! Best of luck to you, study hard.

Lock yourself in a room, no cell phone, no facebook, no contact with friends or family, no life outside of studying, complete and review 100+ multiple choice questions per day, read sections of the book and watch videos on the parts that you don't pick up easily, rinse wash and repeat day in and out until exam day.

Take any external factors (for e.g., job, family, kids etc.) into consideration and come up with a study plan. Then, stick to it. It is sad but true that you may have to give up your social life during this journey. But I like to believe it will all be worth it in the end. If you're shopping around for a software, find one that caters best to your learning style. I have found Becker to be useful but also because my company sponsors it. If you're starting after the exam changes kick in, get the beast out of the way – FAR. That way, even if the clock is ticking down, you have that one comfort that you've conquered the beast. I found it helpful to do the lectures first, followed by MCQ's. I left out the sims until I got to my final review. I'd carry flashcards around with me to help me reinforce the concepts whenever I have time. And lastly, not everybody will understand how tough this exam is. There will always be people trying to undermine this fact. Do not let that get to you. Just take it in one ear, and out the other.
