I keep failing. It sucks because I know why. I do not have quality study time. My husband is an on the road sales person and I am a stay at home mom to three boys. I try to get studying in at 5AM. I don’t want to give up. I just hate failing and knowing I have to take the same damn test again.

I feel your pain on FAR. I took it first, but studied the longest for it and even pushed it back for some extra study time. It is truly awful.

For study material I used CPAexcel which covered the material pretty well. Some of the topics are a little light on content, but if you still have your accounting textbooks you can flesh out the material with those. That is what I did. Especially for FAR. I purchased Ninja MCQ for REG and BEC and found the questions to be really challenging. If you make it through all those questions (or a majority) and read and understand the explanations then you will be well prepared.

For anyone having trouble passing.. I will again strongly recommend Roger CPA (no, I am not a paid endorser). He just lays everything out in the most clear, concise and enjoyable manner and connects the dots between all the topics in a way no other course comes close to doing. And, yes, I have used the other major courses!

Just got my Reg score report for my 69%

Comparable for simulations!
Stronger in Ethics and Legal Responsibilities, Comparable in Entity Tax
Weaker in BLAW, Federal Tax Process, Property Tax, and Individual (???)

I'll keep pushing but this is kind of crazy to me considering I got weaker in everything but WC and 1 MC topic for my BEC fail but still scored 2 points higher.

Its me again, your #1 failure! I was greeted this morning to a 74 for my third attempt at Reg! That moves my 2016 record to 0-5. Gotta love it!

I also agree that Roger is good – I think he has the highest rate of new converts (those who switched from other courses over to his.) He does make the process more enjoyable. I know a lot still use Becker but I think Roger is nowadays considered a better choice for some reason. I did try some of Becker's materials and found them to be really dry, whereas Roger's materials aren't that way at all. His explanations are not always 100% complete and some topics are not covered in as much depth as you might expect – he's known for not having an in-depth BEC program, although there are plenty who pass it using only his materials and no others. I'm planning to get Ninja Notes later on, once I get closer to the end of FAR.

Keep grinding mtaylo…I know it sucks. It will definitely be worth it once you are done. I know it seems far away. Focus on getting the first section passed. That's what I did, one section per window.

Appreciate y'all. I took 3 exams in 32 days, not doing it again next window. Hopefully, I will only have 2 left since I'm waiting on my stupid BEC exam from yesterday. Maybe 2 in 60 days, but we will see.

@mtaylo24, you will definitely get it with more and more work. Your scores are improving, which is a very good sign. But as people have said, you NEED to stop trying to cram this many tests. 3 exams in 32 days is not paying off, but neither will 2 exams in 60 days. The time frame you are setting up can be part of the problem. Study 100% for 1 section with 0 overlap. Your study strategy needs a complete overhaul to break this pattern!

Most of us are going through the same thing…passed far studied hard of reg during Ramadan (while fasting) but i guess that wasnt enough…failed with a 73…hang in there it's all about patience.
