When to Take Ethics Exam?

So I’ll be getting my scores for REG (6/5/18) and FAR (5/1/18) at the end of June and was wondering if I could take the ethics exam sometime in between 6/5 and 6/27? Do I need to have passed all four exams to be eligible to take the ethics exam? I have a master’s degree so I’m good on the ethics credits but just want to know if it’s possible to get the ethics test out of the way While I wait for the scores.

    Thanks

You can take it now – just to knock it out. It never expires, so it's just one less thing to worry about, once you complete it!

@yackemo17 Are you sure it never expires? I thought I read somewhere that it is only good for one year. Maybe it varies based on state, but for Ohio and according the the Accountancy Board of Ohio website, the PSR course must be completed within the last year for date of application.

Is there an application process for it? Or do I just sign up, purchase the material, and take the exam when I want? It's online correct?

I know that in IL, the Ethics exam is the only one that doesn't expire. The materials expire – if you get the E-Version.

If you order the PDF textbook or physical book from the AICPA site, your exam code will be given to you. The instructions on what website to go to (for the exam) are all given to you with the purchase. Your exam will also be in the book.

Make sure you do the exam before you login to record your answers. It takes 5 minutes once you do that. It took me a few hours to make sure that all of my answers were correct. I am sure some people whip through it faster, but I was overly paranoid after hearing that some people actually fail it.

In WA state the AICPA ethics exam doesn't expire apparently from what the board told me, said I could take it whenever and they would accept it. Same for state specific ethics exam as well. Varies state to state as others have said

in CA you need to have passed the ethics exam within 2 years of the date you apply for full licensure. So you can take it before you have passed all of the exams, but i suggest waiting to take it til you have passed the 4 exams so as to not have it be a waste of time and 150.

Doing mine right now. I have passed all 4 sections of exam but needed more units to hit the 150 requirement. Doing foothill online classes as we speak with the final ones finishing on 6/30. Want to have the ethics exam knocked out so I can apply for licensure as soon as my transcripts are posted in July.
