So I just took my first part ever BEC yesterday. I honestly feel 50-50 on my score, there were some MC/SIMS I was confident in and others not so much. It says I should find out my score in like 9 days but it may be a little longer because they are grading the written part (From what I have read online it is like a week). I wanted to ask if you take a part at the end of a quarter and you should get your score soon should I wait to see if I passed or not before starting my next part? Do people usually give themselves a few days from taking a part to starting the next part? Appreciate the help in advance.

Hello @joey , from my experience after each exam, I gave myself a week to rest before I started studying for the next part. Don't worry too much about the exam you just took and focus on relaxing and getting ready for your next one. When you will start studying for your next part, you might feel uneasy which is totally understandable. I remember trying to remember stuff from my last part in case I had to take it again but don't trust the process and move on.

@SIDIEULEVEUT thank you that is how I feel, I am like going over different BEC material in the back of my head just because I am pessimistic but I am not worried in the sense I want to give up. I feel if I failed I want redemption. When you started your next part, how far in were you when you found out you passed a part?

given you dont have to wait long to receive score. wait until score release to figure next plans. if you fail take it again asap if you pass move to the next section. if wait time to receive score is more than 2 weeks start on the next section

@Some_day thanks man that was my initial thinking as well. Have you taken any parts and do you or either @sidieulevent have any advice on what part to take next (if I passed) or suggestions on how to study better if I failed? If I passed I was thinking about moving onto Audit next does that sound like a good idea or logical?

TO answer a few of your questions,

– I always recommend taking FAR before AUD, so for your next one you either tackle REG or FAR. Note that FAR has by far the most material, so if you pass it early it will take considerable weight off your shoulders.

– I usually give myself a week rest before studying for the next section. Even then I find it hard to concentrate until I get my scores. Lucky for you 9 days should go by pretty fast, and BEC should take no longer than 1 extra day to come out. For me I think it came out the same day as the other sections.

– My favorite study method is as follows (note that I was using Roger): Listen to the entire lecture, no notes > Re-listen the entire lecture, starting from Ch1, but start writing down key points on flash cards > Go through Flash Cards > Start taking practice MCQs. Write down stuff you got wrong/new info on flash cards > Start Taking supplement MCQs from Ninja, write down stuff you got wrong/new info on flash cards > Review your now humongous stack of flash cards > Go through MCQs again until you get most of them right > Go through SIMS

@joey I took FAR -> REG -> AUD -> BEC. Everyone is different but based on my experience with BEC right now, it could have helped me with FAR. So if I was in your shoes I would take FAR next, then REG and then AUD (least amount of math). But again everyone is different 🙂

Plus if you start studying for FAR and then you have to retake BEC (which I hope and pray you will not have to), the beginning of FAR and BEC do compliment each other well. But like someone said, it looks like your results are coming out pretty soon so you could just relax until then 🙂

I personally always waited to get my score back before moving on just in case I had to retake an exam. Thankfully, I have not had to, but I do think the couple weeks off is refreshing.
