I’m a bit confused as to how to register for each part. Do I need to register for all parts at once or wait couple of months between each to ensure I take the exam in allowed timeframe?

If you schedule all 4 at once you will save money. Each time you get an NTS you pay for the exam, and you pay for the NTS. So if you schedule all 4 at once you'll pay for each exam and 1 NTS vs if you schedule them individually you'll pay for the exam and the NTS x 4

you don't have to register for all parts at once. yes it will cost more to do separately, but it will cost ALOT more if you register for all the parts and then they expire before you are ready to take the exam. you should look and see what your state's NTS expiration is, i know in ohio it's 6 months so i only sign up for the parts i know i will be able to sit for in the next 6 months.

You should register for them based on your timeline for taking the exams to save money .. e.g. If you plan to take 2 per testing window, register for them 2 at a time. Like pp have said NTS are only good for 6 months so if you register for a section and unable to take it within 6 months you will waste money.

Even though paying for all 4 saves money, you also need to make sure you know how long your state has before your NTS expires. In Tennessee it expires in 6 months. So, lets say your state is 6 months, then you will have to take all 6 exams in 6 months. Its doable but sometimes life happens and you cant study as planned. If you cant take all 4 in those 6 months then you forfeit the money you paid. Which in the end you are not really saving any money.

When I first started studying for the exam, I paid for 2 at a time. Now I pay for one at a time.

6 Month's in CT as well.

I got burned on that one. Signed up for FAR and REG and then work life went a little nuts and it wasn't feasible to take both and I lost my REG NTS. FAR really wan't even feasible for that matter haha, my score proves it 🙂 … expensive lesson learned.
