Just curious, when are we allowed to start writing on the white boards? I would like to write down some formulas as soon as I sit down, before my actual exam time begins? Wouldn’t want to violate any rules by filling out the 2 white boards with formulas before I start the test. I checked Prometric and AICPA FAQS, couldnt find anything for this. Thanks in advance

I believe the rule is you can't write anything until you enter your code and hit okay. You could probably start writing them during the 5 min introduction section so it wouldn't count against your 4 hours, but you'd have to be careful not to time out.

Not too sure, but I wouldn’t risk it. It shouldn’t take you long, just bang them out when you start the test.

I was told I could write anything I wanted during the 5 minute intro screens but if it timed out my test would be over and I would have to pay for it again and reschedule so if you do that be very careful to only use a couple minutes.

I took my last exam on 11/10 and this was the first time they told me that I couldn't write anything until the actual exam began. She said it was a new rule as of Nov 1. I think she said that the intro screens had less time than they used to and so they were seeing more people timing out. I didn't pay attention to how long the intro screens had because I always just quickly click through them and start my exam. I just wanted to let everybody know what they told me about no longer being allowed to write anything during the intro screens.

But you definitely cannot start writing anything before the intro screens – you have to enter your code and start those screens as soon as you sit down.

I used the 5 minute intro period to write on my white boards… Just make sure you watch the timer and click through all the acknowledgements before it hits 0:00
