I am trying to plan out my next test, which will depend on the amount of studying that will need to be completed. So, I work full time and was thinking of these date: first week of December, last week of January and Last week of March. Now, I have just taken the FAR retake and I am pretty sure i failed, so this might be one of the sections that I take in Jan – March. So, in your opinion or past experience, should I study for AUD to take in December, BEC to take at the end of January and REG to take at the end of March? I think REG will be the hardest for me since I really really dislike taxes, so this might be a struggle to study…… Does this seem okay? or should I take a different approach?

Depends on you honestly so I will tell you my experience and what will work for you depending on what kind of person you are.

My plan was: REG, BEC, (now studying AUD) then FAR.

I did REG first because I wanted to get it out of the way and it was tough as sh*t. I wouldn’t do REG next honestly as if you took FAR, you need to give yourself a little bit of a break, otherwise it will seem like forever and forever for you take a test as they take a while to even have the concepts sink in.

BEC: half the study material is random business material (not indepth) and half of it builds off into cost accounting which isn’t bad but I would say it’s an even mix of computational and concepts, nothing too-indepth while REG is super-indepth but still kind of….different.

AUD: I’m only on chapter 2 but it’s all conceptual so far and I really doubt there are gonna be that many computations in it, and if there are, I really dobut

My suggestion: BEC, then FAR (if you failed- as it will be fresher)- if you passed; REG or AUD depending on whether you want to do :easier, then harder OR harder then easier.

Since REG and BEC have the most exam changes coming in 2nd quarter of 2017 I would suggest BEC, then REG, and AUD last. That being said a lot of stuff from FAR flows through to BEC and AUD and vice versa so it’s whatever you think will benefit you the most. And if you really want to jump over the hurdle you can do REG now…but if you're personality is anything like my type I wouldn't recommend it.

I would say BEC, REG, FAR, AUD

    FAR 8/2016
    AUD 1/2017
    REG TBD
    BEC TBD
