What to Do While waiting on Q2 Scores

As most of you know, the Q2 results will be available in August due to the new exam release. I only have one section left (REG) which I plan on doing toward the end of May. My issue is, I will be in “limbo” until August with no idea of potentially passing or failing. What do you plan on doing in the interim while waiting on results? Any advice or discussion will be greatly appreciated 🙂

Focus on getting your life back! If I was in your position, as soon as I took REG I would focus on myself for a bit. Get back to the gym, take a little trip with family, explore the hobbies you've abandoned while studying. Do whatever you can to keep your mind off the score release. I would also look into whether you could knock out the Ethics exam while you wait (this is what I did waiting for my last score) to save time on the application process. Probably not a bad idea to hit a few MCQ and sims practice each week to make sure if you need a retake you're not starting from scratch. Enjoy your summer!

    B - 88 (2/16)
    A - 84 (4/16)
    R - 73 (6/16), 82(7/16)
    F - 67 (1/16), 84(4/16)

    Ethics - 93

I guess I would still try and study the section you are waiting on, excercise, enjoy life. Not worry about this test. HAVE FUN!!! I plan on golfing, and getting back to lifting weights. What about you?

@kendallram I'm in the same boat, except with two sections left (REG & FAR). I'm taking REG in two weeks and have FAR scheduled mid May (which I had to schedule due to my NTS expiring). I'm almost considering letting my FAR NTS lapse and use the extra time to study and take it in July (waste of money, I know).

Adding onto @kendallram's question, is anyone considering skipping an exam altogether in Q2 in favor of taking it early Q3?

I am taking my last exam Q2 and I have been considering the same thing. I will probably continue to lightly review in case I have to sit Q3 because I don't want to start from scratch. But I am going to try and knock it out of the park this time. Fingers-crossed.

Thanks all! Oh yes I plan on doing some much needed golfing and soccer again! While studying for these exams, I haven't played soccer for months and my knees definitely will need some movement again. Almost there guys!

. I was actually considering doing it in early Q3 as well, but figured I have some momentum now and wouldn't want to lose it, but we will see how the studies go!

I was already enjoying my free time but unfortunately I failed BEC. I plan on retaking it at the end of May and then the waiting begins. Anyone in Texas know if we can take the ethics exam before passing the last section?

I would just keep doing MCQ lightly to keep things fresh in your head just in case.

I only have FAR left and am taking it in May. I lose credit for REG at the end of August so I have to assume I fail FAR in May and scramble to retake at the end of August once the scores are released. I'll probably just keep doing a few sets of MCQ each week to stay fresh then hit it hard beginning of August just in case.

    FAR: 66, 75
    AUD: 67, 69, 70, 74, 74
    REG: 71, 79
    BEC: 73

If you wait until early Q3 to test, you won't get your scores until September 22. So if your plan is to wait out Q2 so that you can get your scores in a timely manner, it would make sense to wait til the end of Q3. If you take your exam September 10th, you get your score September 22nd..not too bad compared to July 1st to September 22nd.

I plan on golfing and spending my weekends climbing at Red River Gorge. After I take AUD in May, I plan on completely forgetting about everything until mid August.

@industryCPA Garbage that they only have one score release date per window now.. Thanks for the reminder. I completely forgot about that. I have AUD expiring 10/31/17 so I'm going to take both REG and FAR in Q2. Hopefully, I can pass at least one (if not both). Worst case scenario, I fail both but at least have time to have another go at both (one at the end of Q3 and the other in Octboer Q4).

@trevmart23 Verify with your Board if you will get an extension on your AUD expiration. I saw on some other forums that the boards will accomodate you based on your expiration and timing of releases. Hope that helps.

I take AUD mid May then take REG in July and BEC in August while waiting for the AUD score release. Otherwise I think I'll go crazy waiting for the AUD score.

Travel. A lot. I just have FAR left, and my AUD expires in July. So studying as much as I can until I re-take then a month to relax and then maybe some light studying in case i didn't pass / Pennsylvania decides to extend the expiring credit window

I have 2 retakes in Q2. After that I am going to just enjoy June-August to enjoy the summer. Then in September hopefully I can tak the other 2 exams sometime in Q4. That is if I pass those 2 retakes.

I spent a lot of time at the gorge in the early 2000s. Been back only a few times since. Your comment brought back a lot of fun memories…and now I'm craving some Miguel's Pizza.

What do you guys suggest for me, because my BEC credit expires in 12/2017…. While waiting on the Q2, do you think if i find out i failed, i would be able to schedule a test the last 2 weeks of the testing period? Its kinds of BS because even though there are 3 testing periods left before my credit expires, its looking like im only going to be able to get to utilize 2 of them. Anyone know if theres any way around this??
