I found out I failed AUD with a score of 64. I know I have a lot to fix upon retaking this exam. My dilemma is, I have been studying for FAR and I have covered over 1/3 of the material. Since I can’t retake AUD until October, and I feel trying to get FAR in by the end of this quarter seems to be pushing it, I don’t know if I should continue with FAR or just start over with AUD. Any insight or advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

@RaulB – Thanks for the advice! I just got my NTS today, but the prometric centers in my area get spots taken up so quick! I do not think there is a seat available for Sept 10, but I will definitely keep my eye out for availability. AUD isn't the first exam I failed, took me 3 attempts to pass REG. Failure does not discourage, but encourages me to do better. I definitely do think 30 pages and 100 MCQs on a daily basis is definitely doable. I usually have an hour 15 to an hour 30 to study before work and another 2-2 1/2 hours to study after work M-F. Like Recked said, I have to put in the effort and work hard at it. I have to use the most of my time. Good luck to you though!

I'm going to play devils advocate today and say go back to audit. From someone who has experience from flip flopping around tests. You got a 64, not a 74- so there's going to be some re-work to be done. And- this assuming the next test for audit you need to start from scratch. You don't get to pick up from 64. For me personally it would be hard to move on to another test knowing I didn't pass the last one I took. This also depends on your $ and expiration time, if you've passed any at all yet. Also I'd like to add, AUD gave me a very difficult time. I'm a former big 4 auditor- and I would get tripped up on this exam because I'd get mixed up from work audit, and book audit. I took AUD three times before clearing it with an 82. It's very tricky and subjective, IMO. I took BEC in one try, on the other hand. Finally I'd like to add this exact thing happened to me last November, and I stopped FAR, went went HAM on audit and re-took it in January before busy season , and got an 82. Now I'm back on FAR.

Just food for thought 🙂 you'll make the decision thats right for you. Sometimes I feel, coming here is a good way to talk it out and see all sides. But ultimately, we know what's going to probably work best for ourselves.
