What happens if you apply for but don\'t take an exam?

    Hi,

I applied for and paid the fees for two exams back in July, planning on taking both within the 6 months, but then realized I could only be ready for one within that amount of time, which I took a few weeks ago. I had signed up for both through Prometric but then canceled the one I wasn’t going to take. I scoured the candidate bulletin to find potential consequences but it seemed that something negative happens only if you get an appointment through Prometric and then don’t show up and don’t cancel. On NASBA under “CPA exam applications”, I see one row with the date of my application, the two exam names separated by a comma, and then under “Status” I just see one word: “ATTENDANCE”. Anybody else apply for but didn’t take an exam? Did anything bad happen?

    Thanks!

Nothing happens. You just lose your money.

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016
    BEC - 8/20/2016
    REG - TBD
    FAR - TBD

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.
