What does it mean to mark a question?

Hi, I’m brand new to this forum and will take my first section of the CPA exam next Wednesday (FAR). I’ve been using Becker to study. When I work through a MCQ set, I answer each question before moving on to the next one. I’m a little nervous about using this strategy on exam day, though. What happens if I mark a question? Can I go back and look at it again before moving on to the next testlet? Will the software distinguish the questions I’ve marked? Can I change my answers before moving on to the next testlet? Sorry if these are very basic questions. I don’t want to have any surprises on exam day. Thanks!

    BEC 05/26/16 84

Take the CPA final review on Becker or on AICPA site, it simulates exactly what the exam going to be, and for your question: you are allowed to move through the testlet as you like no matter you marked or not but once you move to the next testlet you wont be allowed to go back. The meaning of marking a question is to draw your attention that you are unsure of the answer and may be you need to go back and review them once again after completing other MCQs if you have sometime to spare for it. That's is the idea!

My Nick name is sunshine, but the fact is I have not been in touch with it since I started this CPA exam! IT HURTS

AUD - ✔ Passed Becker self study!
BEC - ✔ Passed Becker self study!
FAR - ✔ Passed Becker self study!
    REG - TBD

    Welcome to the forum!

What happens if I mark a question?

Along the bottom of the screen is a horizontal list of question numbers in the current testlet with gray flags above them. If you click the flag above the current question number, the flag will be colored in to remind you to come back to that question.

Can I go back and look at it again before moving on to the next testlet?

    Yes.

Will the software distinguish the questions I've marked?

The little flag is the only reminder you'll get to go back to that question before moving on.

Can I change my answers before moving on to the next testlet?

    Yes you can.
