    REG Take strategy

I would really like some feedback on my proposed retake strategy for REG. This section is the last that I have to complete before finishing the exam. In three previous attempts I’ve scored 12/16- 60, 3/17- 66, and 5/17- 73. My Ninja MCQ stats were: 212 Not seen; 2735 attempted; Avg score 67%; Avg Trending Score 82.87%. My actual test performance was Weaker in 4/5, Comparable 1/5; Overall: Weaker in MCQ and Sims.

In studying for the last re-take I made it a point to “learn” from the MCQs in that I made very detailed notes on areas that I consistently scored below 75%. I would then re-read my Becker book for understanding and answer more questions. In the last week and half I answered SIMS mainly from Individual Taxation, Partnerships ,and Entities.

Currently I am feeling very frustrated with my current plan for retake. I am not really sure how to eliminate the holes in my understanding. The plan I originally created on 8/17/17 consisted of:

Complete all Ninja MCQs by 9/4/17 (slightly behind schedule, I have 396 MCQs not seen)
Re-write Ninja Notes, answer incorrect MCQs, study flash cards 9/4/17- 9/18/17
    Read Ninja Book 9/18/17-10/1/17
Rework Ninja MCQ, Ninja SIMS, AICPA released MCQs, CPA Review for Free MCQs, *Maybe purchase Gleim Test bank 10/1/17-11/6/17
    Final Review 11/6/17-11/19/17
    Test 11/20/17

@Wanna_B_TXCPA2014,congrats on passing three sections! One thing I have to remind myself about is quality over quantity when it comes to my study sessions. What'd you do to pass the other sections?

I primarily use(d) NINJA MCQ and notes to study. I think its a best practice to get through all the MCQss, understand why the questions are wrong, then circle back to your trouble questions or subjects and hammer them until they're no longer a problem, then make it to the review stage. Read and reread your NINJA notes and personal notes up to your test date.

One gauge I use to judge how well I understand a subject is if I can explain it to others (usually my wife) clearly. I personally don't do practice SIMS,but ymmv.
I hope this helps, you got this!
