@dess213 I'm jealous of your crocheting! I used to crochet a lot, till my wrists started hurting from it, I think carpal tunnel or something related. Thankfully crocheting is still the only thing to trigger it, but I've had to drop crocheting for the last few years. 🙁
Outside of work/accounting/CPA stuff… I'm afraid I'm a little boring. 😐 My body requires more sleep than most people's, so that doesn't leave much time for fun. But in the time that remains, I like to play video games (multiplayer, preference for PvP), and to do crazy things in the kitchen. Most recently, my boyfriend wanted “fun fries” – just potatoes, but something more fun than standard shoestring fries. So, I cut the potatoes thin, got out the food coloring, and made a multi-colored design out of his fries, topped with a flower that looked like a red water-lily. My kitchen creations usually don't top the flavor-charts (bf is a fan of simple tastes, and I don't care enough to make complicated dishes for just me), but I when it comes to creativity, I think I do quite well. 😀
I make plans and/or buy seeds most years to start a small garden, but for one reason or another haven't gotten far with actually growing things. However, I really really want to change that this year. I think I might make a small garden space along the front of the house, trying to combine decoration with food value, and plant peppers, tomatoes, onions, and sunflowers. Perhaps an odd combination, but hey, it's my house, I can plant what I want to! 😉
Last weekend I ordered chemistry, biology, and physics books, to refresh and/or gain knowledge in the scientific realms. I've never taken a physics class, my biology class was in 8th grade (I took it early 🙂 ) so it's been awhile, and my chemistry class in high school I really struggled with, so I decided to get some good text books and self-teach my way through all 3. Biology should be the easiest, since I've taken it before, but it's been long enough that I'm sure to have forgotten most of the material. 🙂 Once I get the sciences re-mastered, I've thought about digging into history, cause I hated learning history when I was in K-12, so I'm sure I missed some important things that would be good to re-learn now that I'm mature enough to appreciate them.
So, I guess my hobbies are video games, cooking, thinking about gardening ( 🙁 ), and learning.
