Waiting is driving me nuts!

Just thought I would post here to complain about waiting for next Tuesday night’s scores to be released. I keep going back and forth between thinking I squeaked by to thinking I failed miserably. I swear, if I do pass, I’m gonna yell triumphantly like Arnold in that scene from Predator.

Haha, try being in a non-NASBA state. I won't be getting them until Wednesday morning… or Wednesday afternoon. Basically, whenever the Illinois Board of Examiners gets them up on their site.

Does anyone else get mad when people tell you “try not to think about it” or “no sense in worrying about it”? It's my future at stake here, people! I'll think and worry about it if I want to!

@Bear-Bear, I think I get more frustrated with the, “Don't worry about it! We all know you passed!” We don't KNOW anything! Lol.

I'm with you Broseph. I'm anxiously waiting for my results. The worst part is if you fail, you gotta stop studying for the next part and go back! I made the ultimate stretch goal of passing all 4 parts the first time over 6 months! With no experience in the industry! I'm anxious to know if I'm still on pace!

    FAR - 75 (2/25/16)

“Yeah, just try not to think about it or worry.”….Ok sure, I could care less about the results of 3 months of intense preparation coming down to 3-4 hours of performance to achieve my life goal. Who gives a sh*t, right? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Of course I'm gonna think and worry about it!

LOL usually leading up to score release, I'm very chill and suggesting that people chill out but this wait is going to be nerve wracking for me as well. I think the head games afterwards might be more frustrating than the studying process. I've had people try to reassure me too but they just don't get it. I had such a hard time sleeping the night before FAR because I started thinking about how so much was/is riding on it, since it's my last part. I feel like so many doors get opened once you get to add those 3 letters to your last name. 🙂 I have to balance not getting down with not getting my hopes up too much either.

@sarah40460 holy crap the “You passed the others, I'm sure you're fine” drives me nuts! No, this was the hardest one for me and potentially my last, so I'm even more anxious about this one! I want it to be over lol

    @Busker
Everytime (including this time) leading up to score release, I have this really bad fear that I will continue and fail the section, and lose credit for the one I passed.

    Also getting like a 49.

For those of you who still have more exams to pass, let this anxiety motivate you to study well for your remaining exams.
The best thing to do to quell anxiety going into these exam, and the during the waiting period thereafter is knowing there is nothing more you could have done.

I’m taking two full days off, and will start FAR tomorrow. I’m not overly bothered by the waiting game even though I am starting at one of big 4 in June, so can’t afford from a timing perspective to fail.

Treat yourself to your favorite workout, a day at the spa, whatever. You deserve a 100% break from the CPA.

Always thinking, please be a 75…..75…..75…..75….. then I go to A71 to read others peoples feelings/thoughts.. think of a 75 again (dream of opening up the link and seeing a 75) .. read more on A71… uggg.. This morning, I started getting a pain in my stomach, right in the middle.. I think its ulcers from worrying so much. I know its my first test but I still get that fast heart beat as soon as I think about it.. And when other people know you took the test, makes it 200x worse. ugggg…

So much goes through my head. I have a lot riding on this and a 9 day wait is insane. It is tough since the score is pretty well final when you finish the test. I got so tired of people saying “you did so well on the others, you passed” for my first try on REG.

A year of study, 5 tests, and it comes down to a little number on a screen (and IL who knows what time that will be; has ranged from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm).

Glad everyone is in the same boat here and understands. No one else does.
