Wait on score or move on?

I took my first exam (BEC) on Weds and the score will not be released until May 24th. Should I move on to Audit or just wait?

I'm tired of operating in fear and mediocrity. It's time to try. It's time to do. It's time to go.

@KGREEN37, Sure move on to AUD, by the time you will get your score and have the opportunity to sit for audit too…

My Nick name is sunshine, but the fact is I have not been in touch with it since I started this CPA exam! IT HURTS

AUD - ✔ Passed Becker self study!
BEC - ✔ Passed Becker self study!
FAR - ✔ Passed Becker self study!
    REG - TBD

Move on for sure! time if too precious when you are studying for the exam. You could be half way done with Audit by the time score comes out. Pass or fail take the next section and retake the one you failed. Best of Luck!

kgreen – depends on your strategy. some folks only take 1 section in a testing window. if that's you, then you can wait. if not, start studying for the next one then circle back if you the first one if you have to.

spartans – how's BEC? Reg forum isn't as fun as FAR, but the material is easier to digest. still hate it though, lol. i'm not even thinking about score release day for FAR… i know i failed.

    BEC - 75 (3x)
    AUD - 78 (3x)
    REG - 67, 66, Aug 1
    FAR - 54, Sept 8

I have always waited for the score for the previous because I was a strong believer that just get it done with rather than coming back… worked for me so far

During the wait period I would recommend you do NINJA MCQ so you get practice and if you don't pass you can retake beginning of the next window.

    BEC 78 08/2015
    REG 71 11/2015, RETAKE 83 01/2016
    FAR 75! 5/2016
    AUD ? 8/2016

    FAR 7/25/15 76!
    AUD 10/30/15 93
    BEC 2/27/16 82
    REG 5/23/16 88!
Ninja Book and MCQ and the forum - all the way!!!
and a little thing i like to call, time and effort!

I move on. Statistically, it's a very very low chance that I pass all these exams the first go, but I try to have the mentality that I passed every time and go ahead to the next exam. Worst case scenario, I come back to the ones I failed after I tried every test once.

    FAR - 75 (2/25/16)
    AUD - 80 (4/8/16)
    REG - 80 (6/10/16)
    BEC - 79 (7/19/16)

You only get one shot with the spirit bomb.

Claudia, BEC is so much easier than FAR! Not a fan of cost but it is so much easier to understand and work on.

I don't believe in superstitions. I think my score will be the same no matter how I feel I did on the exam, and no matter how I approach the “down time” in between exams. I have never felt good enough coming out of a test to move on to the next one. I wait for my score and then either start over, or move on to the next section the day after seeing a passing or failing grade.

If I really feel terrible about it, I will work on MCs to keep everything fresh, but don't spend any more than an hour or so per day while I wait.

I wouldn't study until I got the score. I am completely incapable of trying to learn something new while I have that prior exam looming over me.

    REG - 81
    BEC - 83
    AUD - 86
    FAR - 78 (Done!)

Agreed. I usually schedule my exams so my wait time is small so the flip around isnt too bad

    AUD: 70, 80✔ (Expires 1/18/2017 - / Ninja MCQ / CPAExcel MCQ)
    REG: 61, 70, 75✔ (Expires 2017 - Ninja MCQ / CPAExcel MCQ)
    BEC: 78✔(Expires 5/17/2017 - Ninja MCQ / Becker Flashcards / NinjaNotes)
FAR: 57 (just to get trigger time I scheduled 1 week after REG) Retake 5/13/16

I work a funny schedule so I don't have an option of waiting. I have moved on after each test so far. If I find out while studying for this one that I failed FAR, I will sit for BEC and then cram for FAR for about two weeks and try to re-take it quickly.

First go at the CPA! Only using Becker
    Reg / Nov 2015 - 87
    Far / Apr 2016 - 79
    Bec / May 2016 - 80
    Aud / Aug 2016

Move on… Its always harder learning new material the first time as opposed to studying for a retake and you never know how long it will take to get comfortable with the material the first pass through…..

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)
