Hello, I am just starting this journey to get my 150 credit hours. I live in Colorado. I have taken one course through UNA- the Wiley CPAexcel class, I am nervous that since NY is no longer accepting “CPA review courses as credit” that other states with follow suite- Has anyone heard anything about that being the case? Do you think I’m better off to just pay for full blow college courses vs. UNA?

Where did u read that NYS state won't accept such courses as credit? I have read they won't count them as accounting credits,rather as credit towards general business requirements. These are two very different things and if you could let me know where u saw this I'd greatly appreciate at it as I am looking to count one UNA course towards my 150 requirement for NYS. Thank you again.

Thanks. Just got scared for a few minutes there. How many additional credits do you need? Since there site specifically states the NY exception, all other states may be different. It would be best to confirm with State Board of CO. Have you looked into courses at LSU or UCLA Extension? I've taken courses (accounting and non accounting at both) waiting to see if NYS excepts the credits for those as well.
