Has anyone ever felt really good about their test and ended up bombing it? I felt like the MCQ was easy and the SIMs were hard but doable. I finished with 15 minutes left on the test after checking all my sims. I finished my MCQs with 2 1/2 hours left for the sims. I finished the SIMS with 55 mins left before rechecking.

    Am I screwed?

Yep, Roger had a section at the end of every chapter showing the differences between GAAP and IFRS with a table. I'll see how I fared tomorrow, but I didn't spend that much time trying to remember every detail. I tried to remember big things, like financing instead of capital lease, write up of assets, and the reevaluation account in OCI. I also tried to remember that IFRS tends to be less rule based and more principles based than GAAP. LOL amohr23, I laughed at your comment about Government. Yes it was a pain for me, as I never had a class on it in college. One thing that helped me was I pulled up the financial statements for my city, then went back through the chapter and reread everything. It made more sense once I had a picture of it in action.

    BEC - 88 8/29/15
    REG - 82 11/14/15

It happens. The reason why is that we kind of guesstimate what % of questions we feel we got right so if we think we got 80% of the questions right we feel good, and if we think we got 60% of the questions right we think we bombed.

Problem is, the score you get isn't a % of questions answered correctly. So even if you knew for a fact you answered 80% correctly, that doesn't mean your score will be 75 or greater. Conversely even if you knew for a fact you got 60% of the questions correct you could still walk out of there with a 76.

JDN yeah I had a class in it and got a B..but they never covered N4P so Im sure that will be fun..it was pretty confusing but def was worth taking.

I understand how most of it works..interfund transfers..the different funds and reason behind them etc..GWstmts is the same as accrual accounting rules..some things are modified accrual..and then Funds are just the same as budgetary basically and you will never have Lt liablitiys on the yearly funds they are reported seperate on a schedule.

Youre only budgeting for this year for your own usage…everything in the funds will eventually be closed out into GW statements that are accrual based..

Its really dumb imo..I think most agree

And yeah looking at a CAFR will help..

I will say Jeffs ninja stuff is super good for Governmental..if you havent checked it out he has free videos on here.

ipham – that's exactly what I did for my last FAR exam. I bought Ninja MCQ and used them in January/February leading to the exam. I also used cpareviewforfree.com MCQ.
