I took BEC today and I feel quite miserable after the test.
MCQs, I think they were chanllenging. 1st testlet went ok, flagged 4 MCQs. 2nd testlet, flagged 6-7 and the 3rd testlet, I flagged about 10! I had to make educated guesses on many questions as they seem combined with AUD/IT…awful.
I only had 45 mins left for memo, and I did my best to put in some thoughts and I don’t have much confidence in getting more than 8 points out of 15 in WC section.
SO many BEC takers this Q, so will curve-down be a case? What do you guys think? Do I have small chance of pass at all?

We are on the same boat. I had questions where the response choices were very unfamiliar to the context on Becker and Ninja. I felt confident enough to answer question about IT and COSO. Economics which i pretty much knew everything so i was counting on performing great in this area. Guess what, i only had 3 Eco questions. I was bombarded with cost accounting and IT questions. I can say about 8 question were from COSO, maybe 9 from finance and the rest ugggh!!

I am praying for a miracle!!

You will never know until score release day!
I walked out feeling so miserable and even planned the day I would retake BEC. I flagged about 7 questions each testlet and none of them felt particularly difficult. I made a BUNCH of guesses and prayed that those guesses were correct and/or pretest questions. However, I found out I passed on Wednesday!! The exam is over and you can't do anything about it now so reward yourself for studying! Don't worry when nothing is sure yet!

I share the same feeling. Walked out of the exam on monday not knowing what just happened. I don't know if it was good or bad. I felt good about some questions and not good on others. We'll find out I guess. Really hope I passed though, its the last test for me!

Took BEC yesterday as well. I feel like the questions that really got me were the finance, especially the 3rd testlet. All that stuff with portfolio analysis and beta that I didn't put any time into… yeah I got a bunch of those. I feel like I either just passed or I just failed.

I'm a pretty fast test taker. Any questions over a couple sentences long, I immediately flag and come back to. I like to keep my momentum going.

Based on how confident I felt with my WC, I'd guess you're pretty borderline. I flagged about the identical amount of MC and honestly have no clue how those went but I did leave myself 90 minutes for my WC.

I feel miserable too. Nothing likes my classmates told me. The MCQs are so different from the ones in CPAExcel. I am feeling so discouraged because I worked so hard and performed so good with the CPAExcel questions. My confidence got killed by the test.

I felt like I failed BEC and got an 84 so don't lose hope. 2nd and 3rd testlets were very challenging for me.

@another 81, I tried using cpaexcel….it was too many parts. Are you going to switch to another review course? if so which one? I also heard that there were a lot of formulas to learn as well. I have not encountered any real hard, econ feels like college again. ( been that long ago).

I took it today (MAR 10) . Lots of IT and COSO. The calculations though were overall simple with a couple hard ones. The WC this time were actually BEC topics. Last time I got screwed with AUD FAR and REG topics. I did well on WC, but MCQ I am not so sure on. 1st testlet was easy/verging medium, 2nd testlet hard, 3rd testlet was a bit easier than the 2nd. I flagged like 10 questions in the entire exam.

I got somewhat lucky that this time I did not have these wordy questions or wordy answers. Lots of 1 sentence questions with one word answers. IT was heavily tested.

Does anyone know if you take on MAR 10 will score be released on Mar 21 or 24?

tncincy, I have to use CPAExcel because my school makes it as the required material for the class. I just got mad why almost every MCQ I got has several sentences and the choices are long. Since English is my second language, it takes time for me to read it and understand it. Thus, in order to have time for the WC, I was kinda rushing through the questions. I would be much more confident if I hard more time since the questions were not straight forward.

BEC is the hardest exam in my opinion, I 100% thought I failed when I took it, only filled out one memo with effort before running out of time, and I ended up passing. hang in there.

The day has come, and I hope my score can show tonight instead of dropping into the “bubble” pool.. God, help me.

I felt the exact same way. I marked at least 10 on each testlet and felt like they were all about the same. I felt like I fluffed all the written response questions, as well. Honestly, feel like I failed more than I feel like I passed. But we'll see tomorrow, I guess.
