My sister, her husband and their newborn baby will be coming to visit June 2-6 and my exam is June 10th!

I will be taking off June 6th – 10th, which will give me 3 days off to study before my exam (as I don’t know how much study time I will have while they are here). That said, I do want to study at least a few (two) hours a day while they are here. I’m thinking of getting up early and going to Starbucks to study while they get ready, make breakfast, relax, whatever before starting our daily activities. etc. I have already told them that I will need at least two hours to study each day.

    Anyone have any other tips?

    Thanks for reading/sharing!

    kick them out… jk

If you can go to starbucks or the local university and study in silence, that would be a better plan. Just as long as your family knows you need to spend a certain amount of hours to prepare for your exam.

I think you can hang out with your family and chat, while retyping your Ninja Notes or your personal notes at the same time. I think retyping notes doesn't always require your full attention.

When you are hanging out with your family and listening to them is not required, you can listen to the Ninja Audio.
If necessary, you can wear your earplugs only on one ear.

^Why even retype if you aren't paying attention – it will serve no value

I agree with golfball7773 especially if you're already cheapening the study time by typing rather than writing.

Enjoy your time with your family and also set aside time for studying if you think you need it. It's possible to walk and chew gum at the same time if you already know how to do both. However, multitasking while learning something new is a half-ass effort and usually results in half-ass results.

@Sang, you made me laugh. I would totally stress out, I don't go to any events now, except weddings, it is hard to concentrate, good luck

You can do it, just make sure you set aside time to study….when the baby is sleeping, or when everyone is sleeping, early or late night, flash cards in the restroom, 5 mcq's , audio while taking a nap. Where there's a will, there's a way.

    It begins with a 75

Thanks for all the tips everyone!

Yes, I think getting up earlier than everyone else and taking those few hours should help get rid of some of the stress. Then taking the next three days off to study before my exam should help too!

Shut yourself in a room with a “kindly do not disturb” sign on a door and buy some earplugs.

    @GolfBall:
I think the simple task of retyping formulas over and over will help you remember the formulas somewhat, even if you are not fully concentrating.

I think requiring to read the formulas before you type will help you to remember them somewhat. =P
