Any words of advice for studying during these next few months considering the holiday season (tday, xmas, new years) is quickly approaching? How did you manage? etc.

Depends on your circumstances….do you normally host or are you going over to someone's house? When is your exam? What are your normal holiday traditions?

Personally, if I normally host, I would try someone else to host this year and bring an easy side dish. Getting the place ready for guests take a lot of time! I would then study for a few hours in the morning maybe 7-11am – depending on the time of the lunch/dinner, etc. While at the party I would focus only on spending time with family and enjoy my time with them. If you normally attend many holiday parties, I would skip a few (if you can).

If you have children or have to host, then that's a different story. If you have to skip studying on these three days it's not really a big deal, but don't skip the whole weekend. I know people have different traditions/commitments that don't just involve the specific holidays. If so, I would recommend getting up early and studying in the mornings so you can leave the afternoon/evening after work to spend with family, holiday parties, etc. Same on the weekends – wake up early and study in the mornings to have your afternoons/evenings free. Try not to stay out too late though because then you will struggle getting up early.
