Timing issues – Application check voided by state board…anyone?

In August, I submitted an application retake once I failed my FAR in July. My hope is to retake one last time October..before my other 3 exams start expiring Nov. Problem is the check that went with the application was voided due to a stupid mistake by me (put $50 but wrote down twenty five dollars on the check). I am now going to resend a check but I’m curious:
    1) how long did it take for you from
the time you sent an application to the time you actually can schedule from pro metric?
    2) Am I screwed? I figure I still have enough time to schedule an exam even with the above mishap.
    3) have you experienced longer waits than usual / more unavailable days to schedule due to the rush in taking exams before YE?

I guess all I can do is study and be ready as early as October 1st week, in case somehow all the later slots are taken…

73 in FAR really hurts when it could have been my last one. Blah

    BEC - 68,70,72,75 5/15
    AUD - 78(expired), 77 8/15
    REG - 29,58,65,77 1/16
FAR - 56,68,73 - retake October hopefully (last shot)

Been doing this since 2007 on and off...

I am in CA, too … I just took a guess based on the re-application amounts, lol. It takes about 2 weeks once they receive your application. Some people have said that it took longer than 2-3 weeks, but I believe that was because they mailed the application right before the fees changed. You should be fine to make an appointment by October. Also, if all the appointments are booked now they usually open up more, so don't stress not getting your date at this point.
