Hi – I just took AUD yesterday. I want to start studying for REG on Monday. How much time should I study? I paid for all four parts up front (mistake I know), took FAR in November (scored 53). I’m using CPAExcel and plan on buying the Ninja MCQ for REG.

    Thanks for the help

    FAR - 53
    AUD - 66
    REG - 67
    BEC - 7/19/16

I think most people here would say 4-6 weeks if you work FT. I only had 6 weeks for Reg bc my NTS was going to expire and it was not enough… I am very slow at studying and woulda needed more like 8+ weeks. How many weeks did you study for Far?

    BEC - 75 (3x)
    AUD - 78 (3x)
    REG - 67, 66, Aug 1
    FAR - 54, Sept 8

It's hard to say and depends on the person. I knocked out REG in about 60 hrs over 6-7 weeks, but I also have 9 years of experience working in corporate tax. Most of those 60 hrs was spent drilling MCQs because I cut out a chunk of my lectures from Roger. How long do you have before your NTS expires? Since you mention being concerned about having enough time, I'd try to schedule it to where you aren't taking more than 1 part per testing window.

    BEC - 88 8/29/15
    REG - 82 11/14/15
    AUD - 83 1/8/16
    FAR - 80 2/29/16

I studied for AUD for 8-10 weeks. FAR not nearly enough 6 weeks. I don't have any business tax experience. I was thinking I would schedule for mid April and if necessary push it out until the beginning of May. I don't want to study longer than 8/10 weeks or I'll start to forget stuff. For both sections it has taken me way more time to go through each subject. I have until 7/19 to take BEC and REG. I plan on taking FAR at the end of August. (Believing that I passed AUD yesterday).

    FAR - 53
    AUD - 66
    REG - 67
    BEC - 7/19/16

I think you have to limit prep time to 5-6 weeks if you are working full time , especially with kids.
