I know that this topic has been brought up previously but I haven’t seen anything recently on it. Does anyone have any experience with this happening?

I'm sure most of us do.

I thought I failed FAR. I knew I passed AUD. I thought I was on the fence for BEC. I currently believe I bombed REG.

It just happened to me with BEC. Convinced I failed wanted to walk out halfway through the test

Would have bet money I had failed BEC the second time-big money at that- (of course I would have also bet money in smaller amounts I had passed it the first time as well as money that I had passed FAR)–

and they ask me why I drink...

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2

I feel like most people feel this way because their testlets get harder and they're actually doing well…?

I'd say not necessarily- my BEC exam never seemed to get harder- if anything it seemed to me to get easier- like by the third testlett we are talking what does 2 +2 = easy- ON the other hand my FAR exam definitely got harder- by the third one my brain wanted to explode the questions were so lengthy and involved- but I still felt like I knew what I was doing- and completely expected a pass.. so at least with me I am not sure you can ever really tell.

    Good luck!

Thought I failed BEC because there were several questions on the test that were nowhere to be found in the study material considering I went through every single MCQ for that section. I flagged several questions…5-10 in each testlet that I was unsure about. Most likely many were the pretest questions though. When scores were finally released, it was a pleasant surprise and the happiest I've been so far on this journey.

@mckan514w how did you feel about your REG exam?

I made a post about this to check out different perspectives and to debunk the, “if the test feels more difficult that means your passing” myth. Check it out if you want.

Definitely! By some miracle I passed FAR with a 76! Four days before I took the exam I had found out that I failed my AUD re-take with a 74. I was heart broken and I felt defeated. I thought that I was going to also fail FAR also so I didn't bother putting in much effort into the exam. I skipped the last chapter in the text book, I half-assed the questions on the exam, hell I didn't even answer two of the simulation questions! Still, there was a part of me hoping that I passed, and by some miracle I did. This tells me to never give up and never doubt myself. Trust and believe in your abilities, and you will succeed

Wow these posts definitely make me feel better about my recent REG experience. It seems like you never know what is going to happen with these tests…

I passed AUD on my second attempt and was pretty sure that I had failed it. I felt good about the MCQ on both exams, it was the SIMS that really had me in knots! I knew I was weaker in them so the second time around I studied and did as many as possible, they are not the same as the actual exam, but by going through and attempting them I really felt it helped me the second time around.

I like many have had this same experience. When I walked out of my REG exam in late February I was absolutely certain I failed. The task based simulations seemed to be out of left field and covered topics I didn't really study for, but I ended up passing with an 82.

I was there on my last BEC test. It was my 5th time taking it and I was so pissed when I left the testing center because I was positive I failed, oh I was so mad. I thought how the heck am I going to pull myself together and take this test AGAIN and it would be my last chance to pass before I started losing credits. I was 100% shocked to see I got a 81, I couldn't believe it!

    AUD - 72, 81
    FAR - 71, 78
    REG - 60, 78
    BEC - 60, 71, 71

IF I FALL, I WILL GET BACK UP. IF I AM BEATEN, I WILL RETURN.

I felt like I failed REG and FAR. I passed both with a 78. I felt good about AUD and BEC and passed with a 80 and 82, respectively.

Basically, the Med/Hard questions are all subjective to your knowledge. In addition, we have no idea what questions are pretest. The majority of the questions you struggle on could end up being pretest and have no bearing on your score.

At the end of the day, study hard and trust your preparation.
