They’re about 8 to 9 parts for the 10 FAR chapters and People said that 3 hours per day is optimal study time but how many parts should I go through a day, lets say for a 3 month period? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you!

I think you should study as quickly or as slowly as it takes to understand the information.

I am not quite certain I understand what you mean by 8-9 parts? There are 10 chapters in Becker FAR and I am assuming that is what you are using. Each chapter is made up of a minimum of 3 subtopics. I think that if you are new to the process, I would spend a day watching the lectures and taking notes (additionally do a few questions beyond what is in the lecture to make sure you know how to use what they told you) and then the next day spend your time working the questions that go with the lecture. I don't think much can be accomplished with FAR in 3 hours a day … The lectures are 4 hours alone. However, you may discover that lectures aren't for you.

At first, exam practice is trial and error. Once you figure out what works the hardest thing is staying motivated to do what you need to. Feel free to ask any other questions.

Studying for 3 months is probably a little bit of overkill. Anything over 2 months and you're going to start forgetting what you learned at the beginning of your studies.

Andyred04 – I couldn't agree more. I felt really confident after about 7.5 weeks of REG review, but had scheduled my exam for 4 weeks after that. I slowly started second guessing myself and confusing simple pieces of information. It was weird – I thought I would need added study time for this section but it hurt me in the long run. Ended up with a 70 after over 200 hours of study time. My advice – wait to schedule the exam as closely to your “optimal” date as possible. That being said, it's important to keep in mind that testing centers book up as well. Anyone have recommendations on how many weeks out to schedule?

    BEC - 84 *
    AUD - 73, 76 *
    REG - 70, 72
    FAR - 09/08/16
