The CPA Exam is Changing in 2016, Earlier than Expected

While the AICPA recently announced sweeping changes to the CPA Exam starting in 2017, they just announced that some of those changes could occur as early as July 1, 2016!

Beginning in July 2016, the AICPA will be updating the CPA exam testing software to improve the User Experience (UE) as well as include a new question type in the FAR, AUD and REG sections – the Document Review Simulation (DRS). –

I believe some people already reported receiving questions formatted like that which we speculate might have been pre-test. I'm honestly not THAT worried about the July changes. I'm thinking it'll only be 1-2 SIMS that are formatted to require examining work type documents. Remember the AICPA does not WANT to fail people and the intelligence of test takers is gonna remain the same.

    BEC - 78 (August 2015)
    FAR - 80 (November 2015)
AUD - 73, 67. (Ok I gotta confess I was even more lazy this time around)
    REG - August 27th, 2016

Fastball, changeup, slider…won't matter when it's out of the park. Bring it on.

off-topic: Do people actually throw a knuckle curve? I thought it just goes where it goes.

I think the concern should be about being ready to pass. (it is proven that the batter should be ready and able to hit any pitch). Will the ninja products support this sim , document exam, or 2017 changes? so that we're ready for what ever and how ever we are asked. Let's pass already…..

    It begins with a 75

Unreal…”By 2017 changes, we really meant mid-2016″….now I'm REALLY feeling the pressure to pass REG in May.

    FAR - 80
    AUD - 82
    BEC - 80
    REG - 85

    ETHICS - 90

I don't know why you all are panicking. The only thing that is changing early is the inclusion of document review simulation which is hardly something to be afraid of especially since many of you have experience. High-order skills testing won't happen until 2nd quarter of 2017 as scheduled.
