    Hello,
I am seeking information on the Texas CPA swearing-in ceremony from anyone who has attended in the past. Basically looking to see how many candidates attend, how long the ceremony is, how the reception afterwards was, and your overall feelings about whether it was worth the cost to attend. Thanks!

There are as many candidates that pass times about 60%-75% I would say. (2/3 to 75% show up) The ceremony is long enough for a few speeches, all candidates present to be called and walk across stage, etc. Not as long as a graduation ceremony, or most that I have been to. There is no reception, and there is no cost of attendance unless you count the hotel near Austin and any gas to get there, any time off from work, etc.

I felt it was a good experience. Very similar to a graduation. More for the people supporting you throughout the process and for them to get an opportunity to be proud of you, so if you don't have people like that it may not interest you to go.

Passed all 4 parts of the CPA exam!
    License application in progress
