Testing woes and credit extension

Hey guys, so I’m an international candidate and I took FAR in Q1. I had a technical failure occur during my final testlet that ate up the last 20 minutes. As a result, I was not able to finish the exam and I found out I failed by 3 points. The Prometric staff had written a Report to NASBA and asked me to explain it in my post-exam survey. I’ve done that but this was supposed to be my last exam and now my BEC has expired. I’ve requested my state board to grant me an extension and they responded saying they will consider once NASBA confirms. I’ve tried to call and email NASBA but heard nothing. My question is – should I just be prepared for a retake and start studying and making arrangements to take the exam at the international testing center? Or should I wait until NASBA responds? I’m afraid if my state board refuses to extend my credit, I’d already have wasted sometime that I could’ve used to study for FAR. With the delayed score release in Q2, if I am at the risk of losing REG if I don’t pass FAR and BEC (assuming extension is not granted). I’d appreciate any advice.

I would continue to study just in case they have you retest under an extension. I'm not sure if they'll accept it as a pass or have you retest, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to Kerri the information fresh. Good luck!
